Spring Break Mission Trip

Spring Break Mission Trip is a great opportunity for UGA students to have our eyes opened to the needs, struggles, and growth of Christ's church in our own neighborhoods and around the world.  Over the past twenty years, UGA RUF has established long-term relationships and made lasting investments in churches in Corozal, Belize and Athens, Greece.  We typically alternate the location of our mission trips—international trips in even years and domestic trips in odd years.

Our 2019 Spring Break Mission Trip will be an opportunity for us to give back to a city and a people who have given so much to us. Every May for the past 20 years, UGA RUF students have travelled to Panama City Beach for RUF’s Summer Conference. This past October, this very town was “ground zero” where the devastating Category 4 Hurricane MIchael made landfall. Many homes and churches were decimated. Now 4 months later, some families still lack shelter and struggle to get back on their feet. About 25 students from UGA RUF will have the opportunity to join the churches of Panama City Beach as they reach their communities to bear the burdens of strangers.

If you are interested in participating in this trip, please let us know as soon as possible (as planning is already underway). We will depart for Florida early in the morning on Monday, March 11 and will return to Athens Saturday afternoon, March 16th.
