Rev. Ben Coppedge, campus minister

We are excited to announce the arrival of a new campus minister at RUF at UGA in January 2018! Ben's from Atlanta, GA. He went to college at the University of Georgia and got to live in his beloved college town, Athens, GA, for 10 years. During that time God introduced himself to Ben and brought him to life. Also during those Athens years, he attended grad school, served as an RUF intern, and began an "awkward friendship" with his future wife, Anna. After working with RUF for three years, he moved to Philadelphia to attend Westminster Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in counseling. A highlight of his time in Philly was getting to minister to students at the University of Pennsylvania. Oh, and also reconnecting with that previously mentioned "future wife" who was working in youth ministry in Colorado! Anna and Ben were married in 2012, welcomed their little boy Eli into the family in 2014, little lady Addie in 2015, and little Noah was born just last week! For the past four years Ben and Anna have been serving with RUF at New Mexico State in Las Cruces, New Mexico. God's done great things during their time in Las Cruces and they're excited about returning to their Alma Mater to serve with RUF at UGA. Follow this link to hear about this exciting news in Ben's words.

Madeline Houge, intern

Madeline is a first year intern from Louisville, Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi State University in the Spring of 2017 with a degree in Educational Psychology. After hearing about RUF from her friends and family, Madeline quickly became involved her freshman year. Throughout her four years at RUF at MSU she learned more about God's love and grace and the beauty of the gospel. She is very excited about her next two years serving at the University of Georgia, and can't wait to get to know the students and the city of Athens better

Joel May, intern

Joel is a third year intern and a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. During his time at UGA he majored in Religion and History, earning his degree as a Bachelor of Arts. He was involved in RUF all four years in college, along with being a loyal UGA Football fan, a frequent visitor of Snelling Dining Commons, and a guy who married way out of his league. Joel enjoys all things social, outdoor, fitness, and food. After working for RUF, Joel plans to go to seminary and pursue a career in vocational ministry. He and his wife Maddie live right next to the Bear Hollow Zoo off Milledge, and love to open up their home and make new friends.
