Rev. Ben Coppedge, campus minister

Ben is the campus minister at UGA RUF.  He's from Marietta, GA and went to school at the University of Georgia.  It was during the tail end of his undergrad years that God grabbed a hold of him and brought him to new life in Jesus.  Also during his ten years in Athens, he went to grad school, served as an RUF intern, and began what his future wife, Anna, would later describe as an "awkward" friendship with her (but hey, it worked out).   After finishing his RUF internship, he moved to Philadelphia to attend Westminster Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in counseling.  Anna and Ben got married in 2012, welcomed their "chublets" Eli into the family in 2014,  Addie in 2015, and Noah in 2017!  From 2013 to 2017 Ben and Anna had the privilege of a lifetime to serve RUF students at New Mexico State in Las Cruces, New Mexico. They're excited to be back in Athens and reconnected with UGA RUF!

Madeline Hogue, intern

Madeline is a second year intern from Louisville, Mississippi. She graduated from Mississippi State University in the Spring of 2017 with a degree in Educational Psychology. After hearing about RUF from her friends and family, Madeline quickly got involved her freshman year. Throughout her four years at RUF at MSU she learned more about God's love and grace and the beauty of the gospel. She's excited to be living and serving at the University of Georgia.  Hit her up to hang out over coffee or a meal; she'd love to get to know you better and help connect you to the broader RUF community!

TREVOR HEFFNER, intern

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Trevor went on to graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice to prepare  for a career in law enforcement. It was during his time in App State's RUF that he saw the importance of learning how to care for the community he was a part of before starting his career in law enforcement. This, and the amazing community he found in RUF, was what led him to do the RUF Internship.  He enjoys cooking, binge watching Friends, anything with a Frisbee, and college football!  He's pumped for his next two years getting to know and serve the students at UGA.  Hit Trevor up to hangout or go throw the frisbee!
