RUF this Spring!

Rob Edwards on January 4, 2010

We have various things going on throughout the year: from intramural sports to conferences, night at the farm, and other times to gather throughout the semester.  However, weekly we have two significant things going of for you to be involved with.

One of these is our weekly meeting on Wed. nights at 8pm.  We meet at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. These times consist of singing, prayer, and teaching.  Our first meeting of the Spring semester will be January 13th.

Throughout the Spring semester we'll be working our way through the Old Testament book of Daniel.  A number of you will be familiar with some of the stories -- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the furnace or Daniel in the lion's den.  But more than examples to emulate, the book of Daniel is about the kingdom of God and how God manifests his rule in the midst of the kingdoms of this world.  Particularly as college students, preparing for your place in the world, there are great things to learn as you think about faithful service in the kingdom of God even as you continue to work and live within the kingdoms of this world.

The other opportunity we have each week are various small groups that meet.  Most of these are led by students and provide an opportunity to discuss the Bible together and pray for one another.  It's important to have a place where you can get to know others and be known by others more deeply.  These groups will begin the week of January 25th.  You can find out more information about these groups under the small groups tab to the left.
