This semester we’ll be talking about love, as it’s outlined in what are known as ‘The Ten Commandments’.  We usually associate the Ten Commandments with law rather than love; these seem to be two very different things.  However, Jesus says loving God and loving our neighbor is what lies beneath the law (take a look at Matthew 22:34-40).  Love is required.  This is what God’s law describes. 

The problem is that we don’t love like this.  But God, in his love, has sent his son to reconcile us to himself and our to our neighbor.  We’ll be talking about this in various ways throughout the semester as we take a look at each of these commandments.
