Conferences and Retreats

A few times during the year, RUF is committed to getting out of town and gathering with other RUF students from around Georgia, the region, and the country for conferences.   These conferences and retreats are times of unparalleled spiritual, relational, and personal growth--and they're unforgettably fun, too!  When registrations for each of these trips "open" (usually starting 3 weeks out from a trip), the links below will become active and you can click on them to sign up.  Any enrolled UGA, UNG, or Athens Tech student 18 or older is welcome to join us. We work hard to keep costs as low as possible and scholarship help is always available if you need it!

Fall Conference (or "Fall Con") always happens within the first six weeks of the beginning of fall semester on an away-game weekend.  This fall Fall Con is happening the weekend of September 21-23 at Woodland Camp in Temple, GA.  It's the perfect time to get out of town with new (and old) friends to deepen relationships, hear excellent and thought-provoking teaching, and enjoy the outdoors.  All-inclusive cost is $85 (or $65 if you're a freshmen).

      WINter        RETREAT

[[ HERE are the audio recordings of Matt Adair’s talks on “Jesus, Your Job, and the World’s Blessing” from Winter Retreat 2019. Enjoy!]]

Winter Retreat is our chance to get up into the mountains by ourselves without all the distractions of larger conferences.  As such, it's the perfect time to solidify new friendships you made in the fall or, if you're a new transfer student, make quick connections.  Winter Retreat is a little more laid-back than FallCon.  Each year focuses on a different aspect of Biblical wisdom applied to practical circumstances (like dating, making decisions, work/rest balance, relationships with parents, etc).

Summer     conference

Summer Conference (or "SuCo"), is an amazing week-long conference in Laguna Beach, Florida.  About 60 of us from UGA make the five hour drive down each year to enjoy a week of unparalleled relationship-building time, top-notch teaching and seminars, and time for profound spiritual growth. This conference always takes place the week after UGA classes get out. Check back here or on our social media in March for more details on the trip.
